Temp layoff

hello lads

the mob i work for have decided to temporarily lay us off until the weather changes , i have never heard of this and as far as i am led to believe we are only due , statutory gaurantee pay....a whole £21.20 a day. does anyone know anything about this ?..the reason i ask is my ignorance of this coupled with the fact we have no contract ...althought most guys have been workin there for years. Any info would me much appreciated

Read the threads, there is a couple with great information. Paddy Carr posted a link with all you need to know. As for contracts I think you would fall into a default contract whether you signed one or not.
