I like to think I am fairly up to date with contracts on Teesside but this one has got me beat !
New Power Station ? Teesport ?
 
MGT renewable energy plant - I don't think it's due to start construction until the end of the year at the earliest.

Mark ISL - What's with the ISL?
I have seen a job in Redcar with a sign on that looks like a copy of the old Industrial Scaffolding Ltd logo.
Is there a connection of some sort?

Our MD has fond memories of the original ISL, so when we started up he was determined the company initials were also going to be ISL, hence Interlink Scaffolding Ltd. He even dug out on an old photo with the logo on, which was slightly rejigged into what we have now :bigsmile:

I don't think hiring our gear from Deborah's (who took over the original ISL) was a deliberate connection though :laugh:
 
I remember the situation well !!
BET decided to Merge Deborah and ISL and it was a disaster !
ISL had a day at Newcastle Races organised for the Saturday and Deborahs made sure all the ISL employees they wanted rid of received their notices the day before.
All hell broke loose at the races day with everyone wanting to settle the scores with each other.
Those were the days !!!!!
 
sounds like fun , sounds like every xmas party we have - someone allways ends up getting banged out
 
what has happened to the many other contracts coming to teesside. the paper mill,oil refinery,two oil rigs and the three power stations. we need some thing soon. to many good lads on the brew.
 
glad some lads can afford the brew we need some graft in the are soon

there maned by outsiders most of the time woolie backs etc..........

Yer i used work 4 the old isl

there was a big lad from newcastle[ a big softie at heart]

he used to go round sorting jobs out for the md then [tricky dickie corden]

but like a stick of rock[ isl writen down the center]

where his he now???????????????????????

the big lad from newcastle is sean kears, he is now the MD of ISL, they are now in consett, Started after leaving Formscaff a few year back now.
dickie corden is retired i think,
but his son Steven works for Pyeroy as a design engineer.
