The 17-year-old sustained a head injury after tumbling from scaffolding at the stone villa in Forgan Way.
Medical crews and police raced to the scene at around 2.20pm on Wednesday.
The young apprentice, who works for Brown Construction, was kept in hospital and the seriousness of the injury has not yet been confirmed.
He was understood to have fallen around six feet in the incident.
Brown Construction contracts director Keith Coull said an internal health and safety inquiry would be launched.
He said, "He is fine as far as I know and I believe he wants to get back to work.
"We are conducting an investigation so we will know what happened once that has been completed."
