SSSTS is a basic 2 day course aimed at Site Supervisors / chargehands - CISRS Supervisor is a 5 day course equivalent to the SMSTS course, aimed at the managerial side -
The Scaffolding Supervisors (CISRS) course covers:
1.Health and Safety including Safety Guidance Note 4 (SG4)
2.Regulations and approved Codes of Practice
3.Scaffolding terminology
4.Construction regulations and recommendations of basic scaffolds
5.Practical inspection of scaffolds
6.Improved supervision of safety compliance
7.Reporting and RIDDOR
8.Manual handling
9.Risk assessments and method statements
10.Basic estimating
11.Communication skills
12.The Construction Industry Scaffolders’ Record Scheme
