Im a scaff a site agent told me friday that all scaffoldings must remain boarded with a minimum of five boards on each lift even if the lifts are not being used is this true

If hes paying for it,he can have what he wants. Why would a lift have to be boarded if its not being used?
What was the job spec??

No!

This is why I'm trying to find out if working at height regulations have changed because the agent is saying they don't have to pay for the lifts being boarded below the working lift because its the law. in Leyman's terms your not allowed to take boards up to the next lift from the lift below it must remain boarded

Welcome, tell him he does'nt know his *rse from his elbow;)

Its the single guard rail and the board transoms that stay in place but the boards can go up with the work

It sounds like he's trying to save on adaptations, tell him where to get off.

He's lying.

Only working lifts need to be completely boarded. As Alan said you need to leave a single guardrail on each lift as you go up though.

And regardless, if it WAS law, he must still pay for it. That's absurd that because something is law, that a customer doesn't have to pay for it. Costs get passed on! Tell him to keep his worm socked, don't want idiots like that adding to the genepool.
