Scotland Scaffolders Needed For Solar PV Company

We are a solar panel company who has been installing since 2011 and are a very reputable firm. In the past we have always used Sub-Contractors to cover all our Scotland work, which used to provide their own scaffolding. We have now brought all this in-house with our own installers, which in turn means we need to locate and arrange scaffolding. We install all over the country and have a list of preferred scaffolder’s which we use, as this is the easiest and most reliable way to do business.

We are finding it is proving quite difficult to get scaffolders in the Scotland area on board as they are rather few and far between, and we are struggling to cover jobs in the areas.

I am looking for maybe 1 or 2 firms ideally which cover anything from around Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk and even moving more north into Dundee, Perth sort of areas.

Ideally I would like to build a relationship with these firms where as I could send all my jobs over to them and not have to keep searching around.

I understand some scaffolders are weary of solar companies as there has been a lot of cowboys out in the past, but as I said we have been installing 3 years and are still going.

Unfortunately we do most of the time only work on about a week’s notice, sometimes just a few days so the more flexible you are – the better!!

Good luck on finding some scaffs for you works there might be some available with offshore fellas suffering a hit.

Yer I completely understand about people being wary, but to be fair I cover jobs all over the country and have plenty of scaffolders on board so its not an issue, just Scotland seems to be awkward, Im just looking for a dedicated 2 or 3 companies I can use instead of having to keep searching through YELL.COM and using different ones each time :)
Just trying to make my own job easier lol
