As I have said before the salary scale for a surveyors position should be starting at £45K, so perhaps this company are not offering as much.

Quantity Surveyor (Scaffolding) required to join an established company in London.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be expected to:
For specific projects, take a pro-active part in the effective handover of projects from pre-construction to the project delivery team.
Be involved in or take a lead in contractual negotiation with clients.
Manage the costs related to scaffolding and building contracts on various projects, from the initial enquiry to the final account.
Seek to enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
The successful Quantity Surveyor must:
Have experience in Quantity surveying and scaffolding.
Have a good level of knowledge of MS Office products.
Be familiar with standard methods of measurement and forms of contract.
