Welcome to the forum BBWTS, From what i'v seen many estimators tend to 'throw in' the T&F staircases which give access to site cabins etc as a loss leader to winning a larger order. You do not say how high the staircase has to go.

Hi Binthere!!
Thanks for the reply! The stairs need to go up 11m in total with an exit at 5m and then the top, I never put the height because I thought there might be an average meter price! What's your thoughts on the above stirs?
Thanks
Brad

Are you working this from a desighn?- depending on that depens on the price but a M2 for the tower & approx £20 per riseing meter for ur string line is a good starting point

Not sure of the number, I think it might be a maximum of 13 treads and the you need a landing.

Unbelievable!!!!! Never in my life have I done a t & f staircase only system and soon as I read this thread last night guess what I did today lol

Around 10years ago we got paid £50 a rising metre on price work for t&f stairs so that might be a starting price for wages

You could call a local firm and ask them for a quote and use it as a guide

Any T&F staircase above 3.5m must be a designed structure. Funny that, eh? Just about the right height to get them into the site office or am I just being cynical?

did a Tube and fitting one as a young trainee at Glaxo Montrose using the old style board with fitting attached. It was like the tower of babbel and jacobs ladder combined
then when some smart arse realised the tread boards were actually 4ft wide we them had to nail boards on top of the tread
Fuuck knows the price of that cuunt:eek:

You would want about £225 a rising meter ,
That comes to about 6 flights of stairs and it's time consuming with all the half landings etc
Might be worth hiring a haki ,
They cost around £10 a meter to hire per week and are very fast to erect

I'm guessing you're just an old cynic,it's actually worse than you think. Anything over 1.5m requires a design.

Haki in my opinion is a good staircase. I used it alot a few years ago. Once you get competent with the system it goes up quickly. But with all system scaffolding, its a bugger when its bent. So no bombing the components.

Recently used the peri-up system for stairs and it blows the rest out of the water.
It's light but if it's not square at the base then you will have issues.WHY A SCAFFOLD WOULDNT BE PERFECTLY SQUARE I DO NOT KNOW:eek:

The old, three four five trick when I was at school.

345 trick seen that once....... During the war!!!!!! Lol

Peri is similar to layher on the staircase front but haki is good apart from the treads lol has anyone done a cuplock patrestian stair case? The treads are meant to be ally but still need at least 2 on the rope lol
