Description Scaffolding Site Manager
Based North West
Up to £40k salary + 25 days holiday + £5400 car allowance / company car + 6% contributary pension scheme + 3x death in service scheme.
My client is a FTSE Support Services Group with a turnover of more than £1.25 billion and employing over 11,000 staff worldwide.
YOU MUST HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD IN DELIVERING ACCESS & INSULATION CONTRACTS WITHIN THE HEAVY INDUSTRIAL SECTOR
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Engineering – determination of the scope of work relating to insulation & access projects, outages, routine maintenance and emergent work in a commercially aware fashion
Management of operatives & supervisors in a robust and transparent fashion in line with Company policy
To facilitate & maintain excellent relationships between all streams of the site operatives, site management, Client Support Team & the client
Management of safety on site including permit-to-work systems; risk assessments; method statements; allocation of suitably qualified personnel to tasks
Safety of all personnel and full compliance of Cape’s Integrated Management System
Production & facilitation of plans
Co-ordination of all material requirements
Report against relevant KPI’s
Management of work to achieve core/project and outage commitments
Project cost control and responsibility
Provide strong leadership to the site team
Maximise project financial performance of all contract activities
Identify improvements and implement best practice in HSEQ, efficiency and delivery performance
Promote cultural change within the site team
Manage all contract assigned personnel and processes
Provide a point of contact for customers operational activities
Deliver team briefs and monitor tool box talks
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally a formal qualification in Thermal Insulation or Scaffolding
A formal IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
Proven track record of running large multi-discipline projects and outages
Experience in plant and personnel logistics
Proven leadership style and ability to manage workforce for the benefit of the Company
Clear and concise written & verbal communication skills
A Flexible attitude in relation to working hours including availability for call-out and living within reasonable distance of site to enable this to be practical
Full driving licence
The physical capability to climb ladders, work at heights or in confined spaces as would be required in nuclear reactor cores
Security clearance to Baseline standard or capability of obtaining such
