Due to Time Wasters we are having to place this ad

We are a small family owned business operating in and around the Sheffield area predominantly carrying out Street Works but also undertake a variety of scaffolding projects.

We are looking for a reliable 2 Man Gang for immediate start who are CISRS Card Holders and hold LGV Licence, 18 Tonner Preferred but 7.5 Tonner acceptable.

40 Hour Week

29 Days Annual Paid Leave

Wage Negotiable Depending on Experience etc.

These are full time posts lads, we are looking for 2 Scaffolders (Or Scaffolder & Labourer) to add to our current long term Team.

i dont think you could be further from the truth mate PW is a much respected member of this forum
 
PW and his firm have been on the forum from day one andy well respected firm and owner the jobs are real so if any you guys want to work for a decent firm contact PW.
 
theres that many crank companys now people just assume the worst but its good to know there still are respectable outfits that post real jobs.
 
ok fairshout but what is a timewaster i asume its just a figure of speech for someone whos enquired about the job and didnt take the offer ,if not am lost.

Good Afternoon kendodd

Firstly, no problem, there are enough business's out there who treat their employee's terribly and give a very poor impression of our trade, please be assured we are NOT one of them..Our lads are our biggest asset and IMHO if a company doesnt think like that then they are pretty much scuppered...Our policy is, if you treat your lads well, they are happy and ultimatley more productive but even more so...Loyal. it all makes for a better Team within the business.

Anyways...In regards to time wasters...2 Individuals had agreed to start with us this coming Monday only for them to tell us Friday that they would no longer honour their agreement, Im thankfull for small mercies in the fact that they at least had the decency to tell us on Friday and not just be No Shows Monday morning which would have really dropped us in the sh*t!!

Finally, thank you to all the lads that defended me...makes me feel privilidged to be part of our great forum :D

PW was secretary to the Committee for Consultation rights, before the formation of SCCR (However on a weekend he likes to be called Trudy). this guy is a good guy, and i would stand my reputation on any person to disagree.

Thanks for your kind words Paddy....Im still in Trudy Mode so you will have to bear with me!!! lol :D

Seriously now, I just want to put on record I am not the Owner of Hallam Scaffold, I am a Contracts Manager who works for the owner, that being Mr Paul Hallam, who I may add has the same ethos as me and is a damn fine fella to boot...No I'm not brown nosing...Its a plain fact...
 
The owner of the company is a very old friend of mine If he is advertising for scaffolders on here it's because he's been let down by someone.If there's an sheffield scaffs out there wanting a start with a good firm give pw a ring..........
