I'm living in Ireland and have the basic and advanced tickets, 15 years with a building company, was wondering are they recognised in England or would I have to change them? Also was wondering what rate a fella could expect to earn? Any feedback would be appreciated.

All I can tell you is that years ago you just sent your card off to a citb place in England with a photo and small cheque and they would just convert your ticket,I am not aware of any changes but either way,you will be widely accepted no matter what,especially if you phone the Irish companies for a start,Brogans are always looking for men.

Unfortunately I don't think you can mate, you see CISRS like to arse rape the working man at every available opportunity (metaphorically, you understand) to squeeze as much money as they possibly can out of them.
Common sense would dictate that if you can do the job across the Irish Sea then you can do it in the UK but then common sense doesn't make greedy b@stards more money.

Cheers for the replies lads, Chunk, they are CSCS only, if I had to change them would I have to start at the bottom of the ladder or would they change them like for like, someone said that the advanced in Ireland is like a 2 in the UK, I sent an e-mail to the CISRS just waiting to hear back from them

If the money was right Phil I'd play it by ear, I heard back from the CISRS, they said that my CSCS cards are valid in the UK and that it's up to the builder himself but that you can't change swap them over, otherwise you'd have to start at the bottom
