no doubt you ll need previous offshore experience unless they are desperate . i always found it ridiculous , it took me over ayear to get my first trip because i never had offshore experience . i do know of lads who have lied and said they have worked offshore in other countrys and got away with it .or you can say you were on a decommisioned platform and nobody will bother to check
