SCAFFOLDER hurt in fall from Great Yarmouth church spire @100 FOOT LEVEL

It could have been a lot worse, hopefully he'll be all right.
 
Im running that job and im pleased to say He's fine he only fell 2m on to the tower roof! He landed on a beam on his way and broke three ribs and deflated abit of his lung! The fire brigade did have to lower him down to the valley on ropes though!
 
Definitely not as bad as it could have been, hope the lad gets back on his feet soon. Does anyone else's harness only deploy after 15 foot?

dont know never had it deploy on me lol i always was under the impresion at 4m it would stop ya face smashing off the florr but not your leggs

No, our company only use the adjustable miller rope, restraint types. I get on with them. Got it set to the right length. Can be a pain and a little restrictive in certain situations but very rarely. Anyway, hope the poor lad is ok and no lasting damage. He'll be back on the spanners soon.
