Job Description:
PURPOSE/ROLE
Provide efficient supervision, inspection and technical approval in relation to the
provision of scaffolding access at sites as may be required for the repairs, maintenance
and refurbishment of company facilities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILlTIES:
a) Ensures contractors implementation of scaffolding Tag system.
b) Administer Permit to work System
c) Monitors contractor's personnel, aptitude and performance.
d) Ensures contractors applications are in accordance with relevant codes of
practice in relation to both scaffolding and safety.
e) Confirms contractors estimated material requirements, receipt of delivery,
conformity and quantities.
f) Prepares comprehensive reports on scaffolding requirements including loadbearing
calculations.
g) Signs scaffolding Tag and inspection register for scaffolding as company
authority.
h) Carries out other similar or related duties.
i) Performs duties in a safe, professional and efficient manner, complying with
HSE requirements related to all job activities. Familiarize & maintain proper
and continuous knowledge of company's HSE procedures, rules and
regulations & abide by them at all times.
j) Monitor and develop UAE Nationals.
Minimum Requirements
a) Bachelor of Civil or Mechanical Engineer
Certified member of recognized professional body, i.e. C.I.T.S Advanced
Scaffolding Inspector (Level Ill) Certification or equivalent.
b) 10 years broad based experience in scaffolding industry at supervisory level.
A minimum 5 years of experience in the Petrochemical/Oil related industry
both on and offshore locations, including well head platforms.
c) Very good command of written and spoken English language.
