Hello to all,
Peter Fitzgerald (Scaffold Design Engineer)here, worked at GKN, Palmers and Trad in past if anyone goes back that far !!
 
Fitzds welcome worked for GKN back in the 80's Hinkley Point Power Station and Palmers ICI (Terra) Avonmouth back with Palmers now
 
Yeah GKN was a good firm and so was Palmers in the past. Was at Trad 97 - 98, yes freelance now, thanks for welcome notes.
 
I'm looking to get into scaffold design but need experience with a designer. I'm a part 2 scaffolder and currently working towards a HNC any information or help would be much appreciated

Get as much CAD practice in as you can. What stage are you at with your HNC?
 
I've done my first year diploma in civil engineering I've then got my 2nd year doing my diploma then two years HNC. My thinking is get some experience now when I'm qualified ill have at least some relevant experience rather than having a dead start. What's the best way to get some cad experience? We do a module of cad at college in my second year.
 
Have you started your own welcome thread? I know that may sound rude, but this chap has good traffic on this one so i don't want to risk a further derail.
