Scaffold Design Engineer Needed!!!

My client is one of the UK leading facilities services providers which serves industrial processing plants, power facilities and military bases. They are looking to recruit a Scaffold Design Engineer to work within the North of England and Scotland. The main responsibilities include provision of designs suitable for Industrial sites and associated structures.
You will generally work from Branch and/or Design Offices throughout the UK. Working from a home base with appropriate office setup would also be considered.
Primary Duties
• Full knowledge of Scaffolding standards and other relevant documentation and legislation.
• Full knowledge of Townwork scaffolding design and Industrial site design.
• Working knowledge of scaffold design for all industrial site environments.
• Prepare designs and drawings using Company hardware and software. Designs to be prepared using AutoCAD LT 2008. Designs will include use of SuperSTRESS suite of software for structural design and additionally use of interactive continuous beam analysis package; BeamPal, Beam 3 or similar.
• Prepare schemes for Council permits, Pavement scaffolds and other associated work etc
• Visit sites to assess scaffold scheme requirements, measure up scheme in order to undertake appropriate design of project.
• Discuss and review requirements of the scaffold scheme with the Client staff, offer suggested scheme layouts and alternative arrangements for providing the most appropriate solutions for both parties.
• Communicate design considerations and details with the Branch staff. Discuss alternative designs solutions to maximise the economies of the design
• Value engineering of design and evaluate layouts to develop optimum schemes with minimum use of scaffolding equipment, taking into consideration manual handling difficulties and assessment of risks with the equipment proposed in the design
• Prepare Design Risk Assessments associated with the design to communicate the health and safety requirements of the proposed designed scheme.

Qualifications / Experience:
• Previous design experience in access scaffolding, temporary roofing and shoring etc and preferably be familiar with AutoCad LT or similar draughting packages.
• Minimum HNC qualification in Civil Structural or Mechanical
