Guys read it slowly ? You will be paying for your OWN accommodation ? Ive never heard of this before on any jobs I have been on in the Middle East, absolutely shocking.

Any digs? I've got a part 1 and a keen desire to educate the masses.

I did read the bit about accomadation but tbh it was through tear filled eyes where i was laughing so much about the pay package lol

unfortunately they don't see as scaffold training being an important career, with them getting other people from other countries to do this cheaper but they they do not get the quality or the level of expertise

totally agree bound,i"ve just come back from Africa, smae there trying to do on cheap aswell, told them it wont work out for them.

had a call from a guy offering me a job in Saudi Arabia "permanent basis" Jizan - not far from Yemen....50,000 dollars a year and then you need to live and pay digs....I told him they will need to up the money vastly...but now with the CISRS having instructors from Asian countries in the middle east I can only see the wages to be cut even further and try to bring these guys in to replace - it wont work but in the middle east most companies will build things out of sand if they could -"cheapest option""

its a sad fact that the money out there isnt what a lot of people would have you beleive, especially since its full of Indian and Nepalese WHO CAN scaffold
Globalisation is a cuunt;)

Blame your man Mosley for that. CISRS weren't happy just fleecing the British scaffolder, they saw potential to roll the money printing scheme out worldwide.

had a call my self of them, told them could earn more here and still be home with my misses, said give me a call when the money is double and more, just been in Africa for much more coin.

In the rush to enlighten the Continents of the Globe in UK Standards we have actuated our own demise in the Regions, simple fact is we have taught the indigenous or guest workers to the UK competency level so much so that they don't really need expats…this is reflected in the remuneration package, as Happy has eluded to, the T&C, money's just not their any more…
