Just wondered what types of helmets you guys out there are wearing.
We normally use the peakless V guard scaffolders helmet from leeches but was pulled a few weeks ago by a SSO who insisted that as we were WAH we should be wearing side protection like those that riggers & absailers use(prezel). I'm sure some of the offshore boys have started to wear em

I got 1 today & must say how lightweight & comfy it is but theyre expensive, & i can see the side straps are gonna be a bit of an irratation.
 
We use the peakless ones as well SP, cant remember the name of them. They also have a hi vis band on the back which was a reccomendation from thomas vale. I like the look of the absailing safety helmet, but i agree with yourself a bit pricey for what they are. The way its going we'll have to wear a full face mask as well.

anyone ever seen the hard hats which have a visor you can pull down at the front of your hat. looks like youve got a spaceship on your head

Seeing his comments and his new nickname for me, id hazard a guess that the lads brain would fall through one of those wee holes eh?

Mine stays nice and warm under my desk ha!
Its a v guard too like.
