Does anyone else suffer with headaches that wear safety glasses ? (Not due to the pub )

The headache comes from moaning about them all day, stop moaning and they will bw fine lol

Na I know what u mean mate buy bolle shades there the best mate don't sweat up as much either too

Are the lenses clean and unscratched?
If they are and you're still getting headaches after wearing them then you probably need glasses.

If they won't let you take them off when it's raining because they are too lazy or stupid to amend their RAMS then stop work until it stops raining.
It would be a brave and stupid man that puts men to work after a potentially dangerous situation has been highlighted to him.

Yes thats what I said.
There are some stupid sods that run these sites, there really is!:(

worst when on working around boilers and them pipe they steam up every 2 seconds there ne good in some spots

An absolute safety hazard, fecin hate the things. But obviously some **** as usual sat behind a fecin desk no doubt thought it would be a good idea.

was in a tight shady spot last year and mis judged the fitting bag with sleves in due to these glases i got me front teeth knocked out!!! a thosand quid later and lost days there fixed for now untill the bridge breaks then £5.000 for inplants they have there place glases but they blur your vision dont matter how much you admend the rams

its like putting a seatbelt on to me now but if they are shiit cheap ones they can be a pain in the arse. The rain is an issue but as we all know Health and Safety isnt always about common sense ;)

They do actually stop **** from going into your eyes.... Fact:)
Yes but if its lagging it down and you cant see what you are doing makes it just as dangerous.
The point I am making anto is the line being drawn between safety and common sense. They tried to make me wear them when the rain was belting down and I refused flat. BTW there was nothing to cover the problem in the RAMS statement which in my eyes, should have been brought up, not only on this site but nationally!
One shouldnt put yours and everybodys life at danger just for the sake of a technicality that some silly tit in an office is trying to dictate when it is clear he hasnt a clue what he is talking about.
Oh and incidently in dry weather and if theres a lot of dust and crap flying around in that area, then I would wear them without a doubt.

Yes. I agree, there is a time and a place.. I'm not a saint, I do take them off and hang them off me neck, but them fcuking safety guys burn my ears, there just short of wearing nose protection from the crack they will get... But I got ta think of hanging on ta my job for the sake of my kids and bills etc... Mini fcuking hitlers

I suppose they do,but they also give you distorted vision which is a big problem in our job,the amount of times i've misjudged something i'm doing or just walking on-site and missed a step are countless.I've also noticed that after wearing them all day that me vision is blurred for driving for a while as well.
Yep we've all had a wee bit of ***** in the eye from time to time but nothing life threatening.Given the choice [which we do'nt as usual],i'd fire them in the nearest skip.

Yes, hate the things especially the cheap ones. When I have to wear them now I prefer the tinted ones as it seems to affect me less. Most sites I have worked on have a local rule when it is wet you can remove them after a quick risk assessment.
