Aprox 5.5m long 2.5 lifts high with bay window top lift boarded for roof work.

154, Pinhoe rd, Exeter, EX4 7HJ.


Im a new company, work on average 15hr days and feel like I'm at breaking point every day... push myself to my physical limits every day... stay up doing paperwork until 2am most mornings to earn a living for my future family... then I send my lads over to exeter so strip a small job (to then put up again) and.....

ITS NOT THERE!

Had my sign on it!... kinda tells me this isn't a mistake... although I cant rule it out 100%. So, I called the property owner and said "hello its Justin from J&R Scaffolding. Do you have any idea where our scaffolding is because J&R Scaffolding didn't take it down." they replied "No, it was there on Friday morning 03/04/2015 when we went away for the weekend and on Monday when we got back it was gone" I said " Oh ok, I will take it someone has taken it down and had it away then! sorry to bother you."

So I'm here thinking, errr... this is Devon isn't it? and everyone knows everyone don't they? the kit is painted blue and yellow isnt it?!

Everybody that is a scaffolder, with out any doubt in my mind are on the scaffolders forum.

This post WILL reach the people that took MY scaffolding down.

So, Im asking can anyone please tell me any information about this and tell me it was a mistake by a local firm and I can simply collect the scaffolding and laugh it off?

And if not, at some point I will see my kit amongst someone's job and I will be straight to their yard with a 1 foot butt 9 blokes behind me and a disk cutter...
 
Scum of the fuucking earth......how can someone accidently strip a scaffold thats got someones else's banner on it. Im afraid you've been done over, but as you say they deserve everything coming to them when you find them.

Door knocking sounds good, someone must of seen something? Thieving ba***rds. Wheres the pride between the scaffolding companys? No wonder scaffs get a bad name. Good luck getting your gear back and make the fu**ers pay.
 
I would knock up the neighbors to try and find out exactly when it came down. I would also knock up the hirer and demand they ring police to report the theft off of their property. I would also send em a bill for lost/damaged gear.
I've got a job up at the moment for an extension on a house and next door there's a small building site with 4 or 5 houses being built. When we went back the other day to adapt for renderers me and my mate were looking over the fence generally picking holes in the scaffold on the site next door and to my amazement I could see one of my boards on the lift loaded out with bricks on top. I was fuming. I went over there and pulled the site manager up and told him and he said it was scaffolders I wanted to speak to. (Fair enough) so I rang the scaffold firm which they denied knowledge. I went back to the site and was just about to throw all the bricks over the side when site manager came over and begged me not to. In the end I sent him a bill for 1no scaffold board min 4 weeks hire at £7.50 a week. That was about 5 weeks ago so could be a little victory. I hope you get your gear back fella
 
Hunt the ******** down makes me mad.......they are scum bags
 
With the customer try the old well obviously your house insurance will cover the cost,then say i will just call the police and get them to come out as we need a crime reference number,also over the road has cctv and he reckons hes got em on camera......point is nothing to lose and pressure applied may yield results...feel for you mate but karma will visit these cnts if you cant :mad:
 
With a banner on it they ain't got no shame and by the looks off it there ruthless and if it's a busy little road most streets has got cctv maybe worth looking at thinkers crossed

Also I looked on Devon councill Owed cameras and it covers pinhoe road mate enter worth getting hold of councill tommorrow and watch the fuxkers

Yeah so so was on a high ( literally lol ) but where I was is all finished up so on the look out I should be sorted soon enough you still at it?
 
Lol literally ha ha yes still at it well off bed now speak tommorrow mate best of luck for getting more work.
