Does anyone know where you can get your old rusty fittings shotblasted and cleaned up and how much it is ?

Keep a few behind mate,chuck em at the labourers, they will move faster therefore earn you more money! Then you can buy some new ones

Do it urself m8 costic soda dip for really bad unworkable ones or just soak em in cliplube that normally works for us

Okay.....for what it's worth:

The cement mixer (with added Sulphuric Acid) is always a good option,but....

It may be a false economy ...... really good fittings: Drop Forged Little Giant, Mills, Band and Plate.......tend not to rust a lot, and the only part that really matters is the Nut and Thread of the Bolt.........

Invest in good quality secondhand of the above and toss the pressed steel...(if it wasn't made in Birmingham it's probably crap) at anyone who you think may be in our country just because they hate us.....you know it makes sense

Do you not find once they have been blasted that the nut seems to be smaller thus spanner slipping off the fitting constantly?
