If your an advanced scaff I'm sure one of the cisrs instructors mentioned you could go ahead & do your level 3 riggers course or would you have to do level 1&2 first. Looking at the title of the advanced course it mentions something about rigging is this correct or am I bullsiting again.!!

I would doubt this Woodsie as there are two different training bodies . Rigging is certified to OPITO standards so I don`t think they would let you miss the first two (there is also an introduction to rigging before level one) . This is for offshore so it may be different elsewhere .

Isn't there a citb nvq system for rigging? The reason I'm asking is there seems to be a lot of demand for riggers offshore more so than scaffs and better money too.

I would give a CITB centre a call to clarify it but bare in mind most Riggers these days are level 3 with rope access or LOLAR focal point . If it gets you a steady stint offshore there is no harm in trying , all the best .
