rig decomissioning

has anyone heard of any decomissioning coming to the old swans yard at wallsend.
 
just heard a little rumour allan and wondered if there was anything in it.
 
seen a news article today it reckons that 600 rigs are going to need to be decommissioned in the future, & the swann yard was ready to start now, it was it called a billion pound a year industry.
 
could be something in this then. cheers for that ptg i shall dig a little deeper.
 
Decom started a few weeks ago in swans no scaffs req at the moment MEWPS and cranes being used
Mcnulty's hiring every week building jackets and accom module on pad

yea company has leased part of old swan yard to decom rigs,the company in question is only one of three to have a license to carry out this work in the uk should present some oppertunities in time id think.
