Hi chaps, hope I find you well and enjoying the exceptional weather we are having at the moment. Im thinking of buy a recip saw and was looking for some advive. Ive got a disc cutter but she's getting old and needs replacing. My reasons for going for the recip is it will cut tube and boards with a change of the blade. Anyone had any experience with one and what would you recommend. Many thanks Tony.

Keep a gd hand saw wit you and use a battery band saw the. Milwaukee is an animal . Rip goes threw to many blades

Thanks lads, been looking on the net and am thinking of going with a makita. Will probably go for a skill saw and may be a radio as they all use the same battery. Dont think I'll be buying all at once, these puppies ain't cheap.

I Use The Hilti, I Also Have A Stihll Saw But A Lot Of Site Managers Moan About The Sparks. So It Has To Be A Reciprocating Saw.

That's exactly why I chose the Makita as I use a Makita wrench.

Best thing about a recip saw... you can shove a big black jelly d*ldo onto the blade and give your misses (or your own rectum) a good smashing...

We use makitas only cos all our other tools are maks incl the radio so we can interchange the batteries.we did have a 110v verstion but dont tend to use it anymore as to much hassle setting the leads up etc.
The recips are handy to get in tight spaces & dont cause sparks if you use the bimetal blades they cut both wood & metal & cost about £10 a pack or get a tct blade onto a small circular saw which does the same job
