Pyeroy works on Trident refit

Pyeroy as part of £1.1 m contract to support the submarine’s refit has provided access scaffolding on the deck of HMS Vengeance.
UK based industrial services specialists Pyeroy has won a £1.1 million contract to provide access scaffolding and containment systems for the multi-million pound refit of the Royal Navy's Trident ballistic missile submarine HMS Vengeance.
HMS Vengeance is the fourth and last of the Vanguard class submarines to undergo a Long Overhaul Period and Refuel (LOP(R)) - a project that will take around three and a half years and involve over 2000 personnel.
Pyeroy has already commenced work on the project with scaffolding for access to the vessel's hull underway. The work is being carried out at Babcock's Devonport Royal Dockyard facility, near Plymouth.
The HMS Vengeance is the latest in a string of contract wins as Pyeroy continues to grow its services to the marine sector. Earlier this year, the firm won a £400000 contract to support the refit of the Royal Navy's Trafalgar-class submarine HMS Torbay at Devonport.
Pyeroy also undertakes work for Babcock at Rosyth and is also supporting work, including painting, on the Queen Elizabeth aircraft carriers under construction in yards around the country.
