PTS Scaffolders - Paisley - Mid February onwards

ISL are due to commence a circa 6 month contract in Paisley in mid February. We are likely to be looking for Network Rail PTS qualified scaffolders for mainly nightshift possession / isolation working.

If anyone is interested, please PM or email your details, including CISRS and PTS / D&A expiry dates, and I will pass them onto our operations team.

There's probably hundreds of trained PTS scaffs out of work! Can you see them putting an untrained guy on a course when they have enough applicants who are trained and experienced. They might fund you if they can't get the personnel but this is very unlikely. As I have seen someone here quote....put thy hand in thy pocket!

sponsors doesnt mean pay for;)
 
u need a sponsor to go on the course buddy not asking them to pay for it
 
usually if your going on for a firm(pts)they will sponser you ie pay,but a lot of guys just want railtrack affiliated companys to sponser their name so they can get the ticket paid for by themselves,more and more of this haappening now.

Sorry....first time out of work since I started the game and my previous employer put me on every course Ive ever done so still in the dark about these things! So I cant renew any of my expired tickets/cards while out of work? If you need a sponsor to get on the course why wasnt I asked about my sponsor when I rang a training provider to renew my PTS and Safety Passport?
 
renew your saftey passport yourself anytime you want mate,that gose for your scaff cards,bosiet,inspection etc,its just the pts that you need an affiliated company to put your name forward.dont know if this is going to change in the near future.

Thanks for shedding some light on that....any suggestions on how I can renew PTS while out of work? could I contact any affiliated company asking for them to sponsor me? Regardless of whether they are giving me a job or not?
 
yes thats no bother,you only need the company to forward your name,theres been talk of companys doing this of late,prob for a small fee.well worth getting this ticket.

Yes it seems it is worth having. Only used it a few times when I had it on my old firm. Im trying to get on KC through a friend at Palmers and he says they can get you a TVPS for KC if you dont have a PTS. Anyone know what this is exactly?
