Hi Guys

We are looking for a scaffolder which holds a PTS for work in Ipswich starting on Tuesday.

Ideally an Advanced ticket holder but would consider Basic Part 2

There will be NO digs and NO travel paid so please don't waste your time and our time asking.

Rates are at negotiable stages please call me on the numbers below

If you had spoken to me in person in that manner you would have received a severe slap :mad:

We are not a commodity that you can treat as dirt to further your own financial gain
 
Thats about right Rigger, like i said before boycott all of them.

It was not meant to be rude I was just posting it like that because I knew that is what the first question would be from you guys.

Also if I did know what the rates were I would have posted them as I have on every other post I have placed on the forum.

Could you please inform this Forum as to how much your company contributes to the training of scaffolders in a year, either in cash or kind ?

Does your company contribute to the Scaffolders Forum in cash or Kind in any way ?

Have it your way mate!! you obviously don't want us offering guys work from the forum so we will not post anymore on here.

Just trying to offer geniune work for guys that are looking for work on a forum with a jobs listing option which its there for ............. but if you would rather see guys not get the oppertunity to apply for the work when they are struggling thats fine we have a database we will just offer it to them alone!!!!!!!

Hi Rigger,

We have extended an offer to the SCCR about support i.e. financial etc. Im sure ragscaff can fill you in.

nice to see you are willing to take an active role, in our aim to have a voice in matters that effect our daily working lifes through the SCCR

I know how Nik feels though it is frustrating when we seemingly get attacked on the scaffolders forum for posting a job for scaffolders.

I am in agreement with him that maybe we should pull out of the forum completely.

Rigger the job has now been taken it works out we got a rate of £19 ph for the advanced scaffolder and £11 for the scaffold labourer. And you dont want us offering work like that to the forum???? Oh I forget its 8 months work. Will be looking for more guys in a few days but you don't want it open to the forum do you??

keep it tight and stop been petty, If scaffolders are interested its there call to contact Nik.

If you have any jobs on offer do put it on the forum.

Nik and Andy I think you are doing a great job by getting our lads from the forum into work. Ok some people might have a bee in their bonnet about AGY's at the moment but I sympathise with you on your original comment of no digs no travel etc. I have already had my rant on this subject in numerous posts in the past. As long as you are employing guys and paying them decent rates then keep going. You're doing lots of us guys on here a great service.

agy treat us like **** mate look at the guys posts the way they talk they think they are better then us! far from it!
 
billy i agree with you partly about some agency's but they are offering 19 quid an hour, hardly exploiting Scaffs is it? I only get 17.50 an hour full time on a firm mate.

If you think we treat you like s*** and think we think we are better than you just dont work for agencies no one is trying to force you to. We are trying to do our job which is to get you guys jobs and we all know how hard it is out there dont we ?. You know everything posted on here is taken in and we know the scaffolders to employ and the ones to stay away from i.e guys that just come on to B**** about us!!! We have found many good scaffolders from the forum and try to give them the best possible service we can provide and are grateful to everything they do for us.
 
These are very hard times we are going through, but it does work both ways maybe some of the better agencys have employed some crap scaffs in the past.
There is good and bad on both sides, it just takes a bit of building on a good reputation.
But does seem harsh to tar ever agency with the same brush if you have worked for some bad ones in the past.
