price for chute

Been asked to add a rubbish chute to a scaffold, have not got a clue what to charge as never been asked for one before!

Would anyone be kind enough to let us know how you normally charge for this, price per section or meter maybe? Or just on hours.

I would do hours the reason for that is you can apply to alterations plus not all chute fixing is easy hope that helps

Hire per week @ £6.00 per M
Cost for fixing to scaffold depends on how high
Charge anywhere from 2 men x 2 hours x your rate upwards

Depends if u have one in stock or gotta go out & buy 1- if ur gonna hire 1in charge +25% in addition to the fixing time...make sure the client is aware that if missused & damaged they will be responsible for the full cost of replacement

Don't know the price but don't forget to tie the scaffold in properly. I can remember a chute being misused on a tower years ago, scaffold went over 2 deaths I think.

Remember the chutes we used to make from boards before the nice plastic ones

Yeh i remember phil -also if you wanted it for heavy duty use we'd nail ci sheets to the brds

Just finished one last week inside the stairwell of a ten story building, ranch boarded all the way up then ci sheeted, wot a nightmare all the gear humped up the stairs lol

not a big fan of chutes myself i preffer the swings
