Right gents at last I'm gonna commit to finishing nvq2 now I can either pay £550 and do one day in college about the portfolio and then once it's completed the final assessment or I can pay £850 and have an instructor come out and see me on site and within a week of the visit a day in college but NO portfolio so it's obviously the quickest way to get card

I know I've mentioned this before and have been putting it off but need it done ( as the offerings are brilliant once I've got it ;) ) has anyone had an instructor come out on site? I'd rather the later but is it worth the extra £300 sobs??? Cheers in advance lads

Take your one day osat bobby they will send you a questionnaire iam on hand with any queries me old mucker mick.

Do you feel you are ready for it Bobby?

Luck would have it I was ready about 8 years ago but as I've allways got my £££ I've put it off

What are the brilliant offerings a basic ticket brings Bobby?

one of 3 jobs one in particular ;)

Thought I had to go in for a day/half day for the test mick? And again thank you for the offer mate if stuck I'll bell ya ;)

what happens is before your portfolio .you will be given an internet link on eskills.org with your own private password download any rams hand overs photos of jobs you have done then when you have started to download evidence request your osat bobby preferably when you are having an onsite induction this covers a lot in your paperwork as evidence pal what happens next your portfollio will automatically start to increase and once you have gained 100% and your portfolio is complete then you can go back for your one day I say one day try to get it on a Friday you wont be there much more than 4 hrs you will do a birdcage kicker one boarded lift with internal ladder bay with trap door access this is usually the norm bobby if you have any problems let me know let me know where you are based I know plenty of freelance instructors that will gladly help you pal was you self sponsord or did you have funding pal any probs send me a pm scc

£300 may sound a lot but tbh once u concider the additional day off work & traveling costs plus food money etc -i doubt thered be much difference

I got marra sorted with his portfolio with the instructor coming to site, saved me loads of messing about. But it wasn't anywhere near what you've been told it would be, and i'm fairly certain that there was some funding available for it. I'll dig the number out for the bloke that i used and put it on later, he was superb, he was a massive help.

Good on you bob, bout time you sorted yoursen. However going from using a toffee hammer to a spanner is a big step. Take it steady.
