Pilots 'did not spot' reduced speed

Should ban them. Always had problems with them, might aswell rename them 'flying coffins' eh? Good job i packed in north sea work a couple of years ago. Not keen on them.

Norway banned using them a few years ago, as ive been told.
Why cant we?

I was talking to 2 pilots on Monday there, waiting to come ashore. They both said that "off the record, there professional opinion " that it was pilots error. The pilots had taken the chopper of auto pilot too early. When realising they were too slow and too low, tried to pull up. By this time they were in whats called negative air. Thus causing the vhopper to ditch.

Also "apparently" the heard that 2 of the fatalities opened there lap jackets inside the aircraft.

Not being funny, some of those windows are suspect to get out of normally and you have no chance with your lap jacket inflated. But then it only takes someone to catch it by mistake trying to get out. Even with all your survival instincts, shere panic would hit the calmest of people.
