Out of sequence works

Anyone have any information on how to record out of sequence works. How do yourselves deal with it, when it occurs?

Get a site instruction from the contractor requesting a change of construction method and then send the qs a note indicating there will be an additional charge for this work,

ps good luck getting the money out of the feckers!

been blatantly told by a QS that they are not paying it even with site instructions and you just gotta suck it up if you want to tender for more projects,
