Olympics/ health & safety scaffolding

Exciting part-time associate work with a leading consultancy to work on one of the Olympics projects.

This is initially a 16 week contract for an experienced safety professional to carry out weekly or fortnightly inspections on a busy, fast moving project. You will have significant experience in a health and safety capacity, advising on WAH regulations, scaffolding installation and TG20 guidance. Ideally you will have understaken CISRS training.

The successful candidate will hold a valid CSCS card, with the NEBOSH Certificate or Construction Certificate. Ideally, you will have worked for a scaffolding contractor or fit out contractor.

Absolutely brilliant job........... unless it's for Ardmore on the Athletes Village then you might as well be pissing in the wind. Worst company i have ever worked for in this country with regards to safety.
 
not many on there that speak english is there ??
 
He will need to know which way check fittings go on if it is them!!
Went to one of there jobs last week and spent 10 mins explaining to a halfwit( I was scaffolding when he was in fluid form) how a pullback on a fan needed checking below the leger double at the bottom and above at the top where do they get them. Still got to give him credit at the end of my rant he told me to f**k off and go back to my brand & plates. I did explain it was a band and plate but fell on deaf ears

TUFTY I have worked with quite a few of these people lucky i aint had to touch ardmores lol

SCAFFY yeah the whole site is full of foreigners, it is in my opinion the worst site i have worked on for years, i worked on there for benchmark, aggro getting on and off site, there is no safety as they are all foreingers and over 90 different nationalitys i got told in my induction.

There are only 2 ardmore scaffolders on the olympics now, i know them both but they do have a hired hand who is a fuc.king pleb, old guy in his late 50's. Was that him?
 
Only go there if you can put up with an army of safety Muppets and incompetent, self-important suits, dressed like American footballers and a gormless as a sack of ferrets – they know as much about scaffolding as I do about nuclear physics (er E=MC2).

I was talking to one of them about hemping the other day – she, yes she, told me that hemp ropes were banned

The ‘rules’ about safety on that site go from the sublime to the ridicules.

Still they know all about planks and pipes

I must take my constipation tablets
 
i accept that we are not as good as we used to be.maybe next year wont have ticket.one of the posts said we have to get nvq.my ticket is up next june.is that a touch screen or classroom job

Are you talking about the old scottish bird who works for gallifordtry, if so this bird is a proper c*nt, she has always got the hump but i suppose if i was a sweaty sock ''jock'' and looked like shirley carter out of eastenders, i would be pis*ed of all the time aswell hahaha.

no i used to work for proplant at canary wharf, but worked for benchmark on atheletes village jacked it in, who you working for then Tufty

Myself, got a scaffold safety & training consultancy doing alright through all my old mates and friends of friends.

You done the right thing to get out of it then? how old are you may i ask mate, and i take it you got your nvq 3 nebosh and that then
