Might sound daft but how many offshore scaffs that have all the extra requirements for this job will be looking? Surely anyone with all them extra tickets will be on some cushy little number somewhere

Hey,
If any of you good chaps out there could throw some advice my way, I would be very grateful.

I'm a 28 year old part two Scaff, undergoing my advanced with full survival & boat transfer blah blah blah.
I've been trying for 16-17 months to get that first trip away offshore, be it platforms or wind farms, but to no avail.
It seems experience is key, as opposed to giving some one a chance to gain any experience.
Is there anybody having or had similar issues & can maybe give some good advice.
I'm all ears.
Many thanks.

dan keep calling them bug them everyday only way,i was offshore for salamis for 17yrs keep calling

I was hearing companies are saying it will be June/July time before lads with no experience get a chance.

Best thing is to phone them every other day and you may get off.

You remind me of me, it took me six months to get off and I knew contacts offshore they didn't get me off.

I got myself off I phoned them every day for them to give me a job I use all the scaff's patter, and in the end I got a start think they got sick of me.

Just keep trying but today everyone wants to be Offshore.
