do any of the offshore lads know whats going on with the holidays? has the 4 weeks been taken away.

hopefully aye you get enough time off you lazy bast*rds . lol , only joking the holiday pay always comes in handy when you get paid off . whats the rumour like

i think its only effects the lads who have got a 3/2 contract...as they only get 3 weeks holiday in the year unless they do claw back of about 10/14 days to get the extra week..aint heard nothing about the 2/2 lads being stung for any holiday...

You are still entitled to 4 weeks holiday if you have acreud them . This is an oca agreement and is legally binding , anyone being told this is not the case should inform the union they belong to immediately .
3/2 guys are sallaried so holidays are inclusive .

you dont have to accrue if you have been with a company over 12 months ! i spoke to oil-c about this matter recently , what has happened is the scottish courts have ruled against holidays for offshore workers ! but , we dont work to scottish law ! the holidays are in place due to the european working time directive . i was also told by the same guy that there is a good chance of the oil companies trying to get the case seen in european courts next year
