Hi guys Thie is my first post so bare with me, basically I'm 24 year old holding a part two ticket, and really seeking a fresh start In life I have no commitments to home or a girlfriend etc so I figured working abroad or on the rigs would be perfect for me, Ive briefly looked into it and they seem to favour advanced scaffolders and they hold a lot of of other card as well, can anyone point me in any direction to start my adventure any helps appreciated thank you.

why no commitments are you gay, plenty of gay scaffs to share a cramped room when the north wind blows and the sea is rough a mans screams fall on deaf ears pal unless you have plenty of bum lube.scc

Haha nothing like that just got rid of the last one of three years whilst travelling in Thailand so i want to concentrate on my career instead.

forget being a tiger, works becoming extinct leave it for the dinosaurs, become a boiler rat its seasonal work on outages in UK, with money earned you can spend more time travelling the globe where an abundance of girlfriends await.

thanks for the help Stella fella I'll look into it any idea of what courses they want you to do beforehand as they all seem to want you to be previously trained up

Alright kid

Listen m8 obviously they will normally always go for an advanced scaff first and foremost, but stick at em, U will get a start offshore, as soon as work picks up - they will be screaming for men, trust me I'm only a basic scaff aswell and I've being offshore for nearly 5 years. Best move I ever made. Send ur cv trade cards certs etc every week to the likes of stork capes salamis and ring recruitment line on a regular basis to let then know your still available. Took me 9 month, b4 I got a start, it will happen. Hope this helps

No idea fella all changed since I was offshore many moons ago (ex Dinosaur)

With em going multi disciplined would think -catering course & chopper Pilot lessons to be added to their list.

How ever Boiler Rat as long as your a good grafter, if my memory serves me correct always knackered at shift end ( ex dinosaur with senior moments).
