Sick to death of Scaffolders not turning up for work. why say your going to start then just dont turn up.
Think people would rather sit at home and watch Jeremy Kyle than go to work.
P i s s takers

Did you phone them cozzy? what were the excuses? did they answer the phone?

No doubt heard the jobs shiit and the moneys craap cozzy.. would you work on a job thats craap and the possability that there moneys gonna be shiit with working for an agency........well !!!!

called hedging your bets I guess. No excuse for a no show. Money aside, others may have missed out as job was taken. apparently.

Probably couldn't be arsed to buy their own PPE and supply their own risk and method statements. Or maybe got offered a job in Tescos that's got to beat humping scaffold about on agency rates

I take it quite personally when i get a no show after giving them a job & sorting out the rest of the crrap behind the scenes to get ready for em. Its just down right rude. Now i dont mind if the guy rings me up & sez hes changed his mind for a better offer than fair play to him. Which is summit i'd done in the past just in case the company were willing to match or better the offer....i now run the 2 strikes & ur out rule .but i do often wonder whos doing who the favour. Me for supplyin the wages or them for being so gratious as to allow me t supply them with work

Not sure which is worse,a no show or the guy that turned up for me a few weeks back, told me he was a part 1,turned up on the job with no tickets and no spanners.gave him the benefit of the doubt,he turned up the next day exactly the same, had to fcuk him off.

end of the day Scaffy these lads are out of work they have rang me asking for work which i have offered them. we have agread the hours and rates they know what the job was before they started there responce was yeah i know the job such and such is on there. So all this about the job and money been s h i t as you put it yeah it may of not been the best but me personally if i was on the rock and roll i would of took it till something better turned up.
I have travelled personally nearlly 50 miles through the countryside in the winter in my mates tranny van with no heating freezing my nuts off for £14 per hour 8 hours just took anything till something turned up thats no bull.
I had a family to provide for plus i agread to take the job i knew where it was and what the money was before i started i would never of just not turned up.
Maybe if scaffolders knew what it takes to get a company on board to even get to the stage of getting the scaffolder to work you would not belive.

Swings and roundabouts yeah right your full of balloney

at the end of the day it's a temporary gap,and more than likely the blokes got a phone call for something better.same thing as somebody starting with an agency, doing an induction and being told they're not needed.it's a casual attitude on both sides,so not much point moaning.

We've all got 2 or 3 starts for the same day, at one time or another, then decided which one suits us best.

I had 3 starts at the same time in 3 different countries. Picked the wrong one of course.
Had a bloke due to start in Dubai a few years ago. He was flying with KLM with a transfer in Amsterdam. He got off at Schiphol and that was the last I heard of him

It surprises me that anyone could be surprised that scaffolders sometimes don't show up. You will be complaining that they fecked off after dinner next.
It's part of the scaffolders character and if it surprises or annoys you then you obviously haven't been in this game very long.

i was wondering where you was lol
