First off hello to the forum!! Ive came here looking to read up, research and be advised if I can.
Ive been into construction since I was 16, all of 9yrs ago so still a bairn to some of you lol.
Started off Labouring on a building site and loved it, but I always wanted to be an electrician at that time, signed up for a sparkys course at SRC back in 2005 went to start the term the **** heads had put me on a brickys course so I stuck that out for a few years. The mistake they made was a good one though enjoyed laying bricks got some useful qualifications from it Then with my luck the building trade died :/. During my time on the course I did have to learn to erect a tower scaffold and thats as close to learning scaffolding got for me. Its something I always wanted to learn but with life being life I never got round to doing a course.
Now though I want a change in careers, the bro inlaw is a scaffolder.. only a part 1, part 2 in a weeks time. Hes got me interested again in scaffolding and Im contemplating doing a part 1 course in april (a while away but financial reasons cripple me), but sooner I want to renew my cscs card and get labouring for you guys gain some experience in your area and earn some money to get this course done.
Anyway Ill stop rambling now.
If theres any advice you can give me it would be appreciated.
