Alrite lads, I've recently moved from south (Brighton) to South Yorkshire and I'm looking for work in or around Barnsley, willing to travel have own transport...

Also I have seen a job that is based on price work at £4 per metre erect and £2 per metre strip as I've never done price work wondered if this was worth it? And what's good and what's bad re: price work

Good luck luck to you Jez,you should get a few replies on this. Theres a thread for work in Wales offering £5 pm, a few boys say thats a good rate, so £4 not too far off the mark, you can only give it a go. Got to be better than some hourly rates ive seen offered.

Fred i read that thread last nite 4 quid don't sound to bad was that a linear or square metre price
 
Your only 25 minutes from ferrybridge , eggborough and drax power stations for the outages
 
If that's a square Mtr price that at 4 pound a square Mtr =£36 in the old style 10ftx10 ft that's good working for some one I think?
 
Dont know how its workd out tbh Gary it varies so much.Guy I know charges 65 a sqr but others on here charge a bit more..

supply and fix rate tho
 
4 quid a meter is a good rate for barnsley pal. I used to get 3.5 quid a meter erect years ago in west yorkshire, and i made a killing, so you should be in for good coin.

I think now days you should aim some where near £100 per 10 x10 sq ft.i fully understand you cannot get that on roofing house fronts some firms are doing those fronts for £150 and less
