Hi everybody,
I should have registered with scaffoldersforum long ago, if only to endorse what a great resource the forum is for everyone involved in the industry.
I came into the scaffolding industry in 1967, eventually working as an advanced scaffolder until 1989 when as my handle suggests I was transformed as if by magic into a Health and Safety Advisor ('magic' meaning several years study, training and exam taking).
I would be lieing if I said that managing and promoting health and safety in the scaffolding industry has gone like a dream, with nothing but success but we have made great strides in recent years particularly regarding the general attitude of most involved in the industry and there is no better proof of that than this forum (at this point it would be only fair and honest of me to admit that I finally caved in to pressure to join the forum from my own Son Ash (atlasash) who is as proactive as they come, a great scaffolder and very concientious.Needless to say, if you take a pride in what you do, you're halfway there
Time permitting, I'll contribute what I can. Thanks for taking the time to listen to my 'hello' and hopefully we'll speak soon.
Cheers.
