Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has appointed Julian Gammage as Hard Services Director, a new position aimed at increasing the scope and range of the company's proven industrial service capabilities and to further accelerate growth to its UK footprint.
Julian has 40 years' experience in the field of asset management and service maintenance provision, with particular expertise in scaffolding, insulation, painting and the associated trades.
He will have direct responsibility for delivering hard services within industrial environments across the UK, reporting to Guy Bruce, Managing Director - Industrial at Interserve. This will include the overall performance and development of Interserve's scaffolding services, thermal insulation, painting and blasting capabilities and shutdown management as well as its asbestos surveying, management and removal service.
A key aspect of Julian's role will be to deliver service innovation, to help customers cut costs, improve information flow and increase productivity. He is well-suited to this role based on his previous position as Executive Director at specialist industrial services' company Cape PLC and more recently as Director of the industrial division of Pyeroy, a multi-discipline asset maintenance provider.
Guy Bruce, Managing Director - Industrial commented: "We are pleased to announce Julian as our new Hard Services' Director, an appointment that reinforces our plans to grow our customer base and the range of multi-faceted services available in the UK.
"He is well known for his extensive industry knowledge and leadership, and will build on our strong existing business and other recent contract wins. We're looking forward to welcoming him onto the team, and benefiting from his specialist expertise."
Interserve delivers a comprehensive range of facilities and asset maintenance solutions to markets such as power generation, power transmission, nuclear engineering, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and many other industrial sectors.
Julian Gammage added: "I am excited to be joining the Interserve team because of the 'all inclusive' portfolio of disciplines which we can offer; this ability will serve us well at this time when market indicators are demonstrating an upward activity trend. This multi-faceted offering gives Interserve the capability to compete in areas that are not open to all of our competitors."
