Multi-task Scaffolder Brae Field.
Bilfinger Salamis UK Limited are recruiting for a Multi-task Scaffolder for our offshore installation within the Brae Field for Marathon Oil
The Multi-task Scaffolder, reporting to the Offshore Platform Chargehand Scaffolder, will be responsible for supervising and ensuring work is performed to the highest level in accordance with the Bilfinger Salamis procedures and adhering to all industry regulations. You will be required to demonstrate high levels of motivation with an enthusiasm to share knowledge. Excellent communication skills are essential to working with all onshore and offshore departments.
Job Purpose:
To undertake platform scaffolding requirements, general multi-task deck support services which may comprise of Deck Services, Helicopter and Heli-deck operations, Hose bunkering, cargo & material handling.
To operate as part of the platform base integrated team to MOUK delivering against all Client and Company service, operational, commercial and HSEQ expectations and targets.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
You are competent and trained in all aspects of Scaffolding to a minimum of CITB Basic level; you possess good communication skills, and are a team player with a proactive approach in every aspect or work. You are competent in accordance with the company Scaffolding and Multitasking competency compliance criteria. You should be experience in Heli-Deck operations including Refuelling. Competence in Banksman / Slinging for deck cargo handling is preferential but not essential.
You have a sound knowledge Risk and Safety Management Systems and are familiar with the compliance requirements of waste management
Key Responsibilities/Principal Accountabilities Include:
•Ensuring the most effective use of all plant, equipment and materials on contracts.
•Communicating progress and any operational difficulties to the Platform Charge Hand Scaffolder.
•Ensuring compliance with agreed specifications and produce the highest quality of workmanship.
•Ensuring that all client expectations are delivered within the Scaffolding compliance procedures.
•Following up customer enquiries and demands promptly.
•Identifying and reacting to shortfalls in customer service.
•Assisting in the planning and co-ordination of Scaffolding activities.
•Ensuring that all activities are performed in compliance with all relevant Scaffolding procedures and HSEQ procedures.
•Maintaining the condition, quality, quantity and usability of all materials and equipment.
•Executing operations in compliance with company HSEQ and legislative requirements.
•Adopting safe working practices and promoting safety awareness within the company and client safety culture.
•Reporting any near misses or incidents immediately to your line management or your platform client representative.
•Assisting in the identification, review and assessment of discipline specific & general HS&E hazards \ risks, including STOP / COSHH, Advanced Safety Audits / Manual Handling, Environmental, etc.
•Mitigating or minimising any and all risks to self and others
•Report to Platform Services Supervisor on all aspects of Industrial Relations and discipline
