The mother of a 25-year-old man who died in a motorbike crash on Monday has paid tribute to her son.

Jamie Jackson, a scaffolder and father of two, died after his motorbike crashed into a car in East Hill, Wandsworth, on Monday.

He leaves behind girlfriend Sam Cox, and two young children, one aged seven and one a year old.

Mum Janine Jackson said: "He was great, so brilliant and a great father. He had lots of friends.

"All the support we have had from everybody has meant so much to us, it is just great."

Tributes from family and friends were left at the site of the accident, including bottles of the music-fan's favourite drink Jack Daniel's.

He went to SouthFields Community College and was a keen biker and car enthusiast.

Brother Martin Jackson, 32, said: "He is a Wandsworth boy, he was very popular and a joker."

The accident took place in East Hill on Monday at 6.15pm when Mr Jackson's motorbike crashed into a car.

He was taken to St George's Hospital where he died.

A witness said: "It was all such a blur. There was smoke and debris everywhere."

Tributes from friends were posted on Twitter.

Footballer Craig Eastmond wrote: "R.I.P Jamie Jackson, he is a star in South West London."

Kay Montana also wrote: "Ever had a friend die and feel heart broken."
