man-dies-after-fall-from-scaffolding-in-northampton

8pm on a sunday? Probably wasn't any one who was working on it. Still a sad day for someone's family.

RIP. maybe a sad end to someones Jubilee weekend? Scaffold looks fine but shouldnt there be a 3rd handrail as its a 10ft lift even though its netted?

Don't think so HSWT as long as it's measured from the bottom it doesn't matter what distance there is above, not one for the 3m lifts though so could well be wrong.

Sympathies to the family.

A MAN has died after falling from scaffolding which had been put up around a block of flats in Northampton.

Ambulances were called to Pyramid Close in Weston Favell at about 8pm on Sunday and immediately sealed off the area with police tape.

The man was today confirmed as David Stewart, aged 47 from Northampton.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “We had a call just before 8pm on Sunday night from the ambulance service to say a man had fallen from some scaffolding. Unfortunately, he died at the scene from internal injuries.

“The exact circumstances of what happened, we don’t yet know. But we’re not looking for anybody else in connection with the incident and the death is not believe to be suspicious.”

Scaffolding had been put up around a number of flats in Pyramid Close, which is close to the Weston Favell Centre.
