Hi guys.

I did the first part of my PTS today, got the 2nd part tomorrow...
And during the training, we was shown this video.

He is possibly the luckiest man alive.
A few millimetre or a few tenths of a second later and he'd be splattered to pieces. :worried:

Or just a stupid b@stard, lol.

It would have been mad if he'd jumped back again the 2nd time. That would have been life no.3

Yeah Aom but I dont think he had his safety glasses on !! :)

PTS = Personal Track Safety.

Meaning you can work for Network Rail and on the overland Railways, all over the country.
 
woweeee!!!! That has to be rigged, surely?? How did he not hear/ feel all those trains a-coming! sheeesh!

Hope you don't have to do a practical assessment in the same way! ;)

NO, You go and stand next to an intercity railway line and see if you can here it or see it before its to late. scary sh1t

Ya mate.

I was on a live track today - 2nd half of my PTS course.
By the time a train come along, at 75mph... when some can travel at 125 mph, i counted in my head when i could hear it, to when it went past me.

Bear in mind i was actually waiting for it and not concentrating on something else.
I counted 4 seconds, and trust me, that train comes in FAST.

If it was rigged, which apparently it aint, that guy would have to be the most gutsiest and biggest balled Stuntman in the world, lol.


Also.
Passed my PTS.
45/46 questions right, highest marks in the class - Get in there! :)
 
Proud of ya Jason. Tell me you lifted the Q&A off the instructor and didn't actually pay attention.:idea:

I thought id have gotten alot more wrong tbh.
But i guess i was lucky to get all the ones i knew. :noworry:

Mid-next week ill have a shiny new PTS card to add to the others.
