I know nothing of this trade but is it not a bit like the scaffolding qualification whereby you would need to be a certain level before getting a descent job?
 
4 days training, then 3 hour assesment for Level 1. piece of piss.. rope access = unqualified ..boring.. faggot *****..
 
What can you do with a part 1, is it a bit like a scaff and really feck all or will it open doors?

try an abseillers website if you want to go over to those poncey pricks who steal our work and any others thay claim to be able to do after a ****** 2 day course. ;)

level1 qualifies you to work straight away... level 2 means nothing and level 3 makes you a supervisor... so can do fu'ck all all day...
