hi, im new to this site and ive been told its members can be helpful in looking to work, im looking for pts work or scaff work, im from newcastle but willing to travel anywhere in the uk, any help would be very much appreciated thank you.

Welcome Jimmy there are a good few lads no here that do PTS work and a few agency's that advertise here for PTS lads , though i think most will be nursing sore heeds today :laugh:

ive tried tone but no joy, ive been told london bridge is getting work done on it, if anyone knows of any firms that are on there it would be very much appreciated thanks

Palmers are doing London Bridge but from what the lads have been saying on here its not all it seems , best perso to talk to bout London Bridge is Jason Gibbs he was working there for a while and knows all about it

I'm on London bridge, they have just got rid of all the millcroft scaffolders they brought in to do some work for us(palmers)
they still have a few agency lads on here like,
but not taking any more on yet, not sure they will be if I'm honest,
the roof is nearly off now.

i was told that there was 5 years work on london bridge? my friend is working on there and he said that the agency he works for will be taking on soon? how much is to be done on there m8?

We started in febuary 2012, so it's being going now 11months,
the new station opens in 2018,
phase 1 was to get the roof off, it's not off yet but it's not far off,
honest not even sure what phase 2 entails, ie what work has to he done,
but there is at least 5 years work left, and that's if the job finishes on time,
but really how many jobs finish on time in the UK.
The money is very good too.
You eArn some good money if you can get on, if your willing to put the hours in.
If you do 7x10hr shifts with either digs, if your a travelling man or radius payments if your a local, you'll take home £1300 a week, 13 days on, 1 day off.
Or if you do 6x12 hrs shifts you get a day off every week.
