London street firms

Watching top banana brought back old memories when i used on be on the street for eastend firms such as malverns ( don't ask ) /contract from plaistow, can any of you old school remember other firms that were around in 70/80's, they were mad times. start off Evans of Bow.
 
Abbey , ryans , davey , leane , mattison , ferguson keene , pylon

I remember evans of bow ans still have a brochure !

remember being told by my old man that abbey scaffolding, did i think either london or tower bridge and the whole lot fell in the thames and they had to fish it out on boats and paint out the name on all the lorries?

Yeh ive heard the abbey story before dont know how it happend sure someone on here would know
 
Not 100% sure but can recall something about Abbey having a cradle go over on one of Tower bridge's buttress's at the time they scaffolded it. Up the Hammers
