leaner saddle

Boards should be across the joists, not running up the roof. Apart from that, nice one. Does anyone on the forum actually erect leaners? Does anyone north of Watford build them?

personally run my boards this way also, there is a lot of batten under them peg tiles to support your board. also find fewer tiles are broken this way.
 
Must be a jock thing as I always go across the truss as well. As for the job, some people should just give the game up.

I agree with aom all is jocks out the boards the other way as to go across the trusses and spread the weight. Personaly think its a terrible looking job with no safe access
