This is the job description advertised by GBN Associates, so as scaffolders will you know what is required from you, we are not using couplers we are using couples to hold our scaffold together, and as for the base plates, please have some knowledge of our industry if your recruiting for men, retards.
SCAFFOLDERS - Part 1 and Part 2.
GBN Associates - Wickford
GBN Associates are currently looking for Part 1 and Part 2 Scaffolders to start working across South East.
Main duties for this role will include;
Unloading scaffolding equipment at the site
Setting base plates on the ground at regular intervals
Putting up the scaffolding poles and attaching the horizontal tubes to them with couples
Fixing the scaffolding to the building or structure to make it more stable,
Laying planks across the scaffolding for workers to walk on
Fixing guard rails and safety netting
Taking down the scaffolding after a job is finished.
You must hold a Full UK Driving License with your own vehicle, due to location of yard.

I believe this was on last weeks thread scaffolders wanted county antrim pick up on my threads I couldn't believe their bollecks scc

the worse thingabout it is its probably the scaffold companys method statement theyve copied and pasted
worrying times indeed;)
 
Placing baseplates at regular intervals.......ok i'll place one in the morning, one after breakfast and then one after dinner.
 
r8.80ty what about connecting ledgers to standards with couples is this things we have to look forward to.scc
 
Thats easy put the ledger through their t.shirts and standards up their trouser legs, and tell them dont fuucking move.
dont know about throwing planks across thou, as their's no mention of using trannies. However one phone call to HSWT will sort that, cos he'll send a boat load over.

Bet carlsberg are shltting them selves having read that advert lol

It does make me laugh tho when office staff think they know what there talking about reminds me years ago when I got my hair cut the barber asked what tools are needed for scaffolding so I said spanner, bubble, tape etc and he then asked a tape!!!! What a scaffolder need a tape for??? And before I could answer the barber next to him said yeah it's essential they need it to measure all the angles!!!!! I just said yep got it in one mate lol plssed myself when I left :)
