jubilee 5th of march a paid day off

i was under the impression its an offical public holiday,not a bank holiday and its down to individual companys if they give pay
 
As far as i know you are entitled to the day off but are not forced to be payed for it, you will have to check your contract with your employer. The directgov website states it better than i can.
